Prof. Dr. Ubaid Shah is an Australian Board-Certified, internationally trained Pediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist with more than 18 years of specialist experience caring for infants, children and adolescents with complex neurological conditions.
He currently serves as Lead Consultant Pediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist at King’s College Hospital London – Dubai, where he provides specialist and tertiary-level care for children with epilepsy, developmental and neurological disorders. He also sees patients as a Visiting Consultant Pediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist at HealthBay Clinic and Sulaiman Al Habib Clinic in Dubai.
Dr. Shah holds MBBS (Hons.), MD (Paediatrics), DCH and FRACP in Paediatric Neurology, with advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Epilepsy. His specialist training in Australia included leading pediatric centres in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra, giving him extensive experience in the assessment and management of children with both common and highly complex neurological disorders.

Before joining King’s College Hospital London – Dubai, Prof. Shah spent several years at American Hospital Dubai, where he held a number of senior clinical, academic and leadership positions.
His previous roles included:

He was also recognised with the American Hospital Dubai Physician of the Year Award in 2023, reflecting the contribution of his clinical and leadership work to patient care and the wider hospital community.
Australian Specialist Training & Academic Leadership
Dr. Shah completed his specialist pediatric neurology training in Australia and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatric Neurology, with further specialist training in Pediatric Epilepsy.
His professional career has combined clinical practice with medical education, research and leadership. He has held academic teaching roles and has been involved in postgraduate medical education, mentoring pediatric residents and helping develop the next generation of pediatric specialists.
He has also contributed to national and international scientific meetings and research in pediatric epilepsy and neurological disorders.
